I have already done my post of Dallas, so now it’s time for my Toronto post. We were staying in the iconic One King West, and while it was amazing, it was not in the most foodiest area, so we decided to venture out a bit. After researching avidly, we decided to check out Kensington Fruit Market. Once we were there, we found a sweet, small market that people lounge through on their lazy weekend mornings. My mum LOVES coffee and when we saw a hip, food-serving cafe where they roast their own coffee beans, she practically ran in. Moonbeam Coffee Co. was perfect and suited our needs well.
On our second morning, our friend who was also in Toronto invited to “Little Nicky’s”. We arrived at an old warehouse-y building converted into a cafe. What did they sell? HOMEMADE DOUGHNUTS (or donuts as they were called over there)… They were so good we went back three more times in our five day stay!
To be honest, we were all jetlagged (and sick at times) so we didn’t venture much out onto the Toronto food scene. There was some other good food that we had, but nothing memorable. I would love to go back to Toronto and try out some other food, but for now, I have the ribs from Dallas, and the amazing food in New York to remember.
